Dr. Spear completed his undergraduate work at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham Optometry School and went on to Northeastern State University – College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma for his residency.Dr. Spear is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association and the Armed Forces Optometric Society. His special appointments include Adjunct Assistant Professor at Northeastern State University College of Optometry and the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. |

Dr. Katie Gilbert-Spear |
Dr. Gilbert-Spear is a Board Certified Optometrist and the Director of the Visual Performance Center here in Pensacola, Florida. She completed her undergraduate work at Auburn University. She obtained her Masters in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health and her Doctorate of Optometry from UAB School of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the American Public Health Association. She has specialized training in all areas of Vision Rehabilitation. |

Dr. Jill Anderson |
Dr. Anderson received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where she received her degree as a Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Anderson is a highly skilled contact lens specialist, receiving her Southern Diplomate in Contact Lenses from the Southeastern Conference of Optometry, and is Board Certified in Therapeutics by the State of Florida. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the West Florida Optometric Association. |

Dr. Mary Charbonneau |
Dr. Charbonneau graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Pre-Med. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL. She then completed her residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Johnson City, TN through Southern College of Optometry. As an active member of the American Optometric Association, she currently serves on the Florida Optometric Eye Health Fund board of directors, and is a past president of the Northeast Florida Optometric Society. She created and taught a certification course for Paraoptometrics through the Florida Community College in Jacksonville, FL. She has participated in 6 eye health mission trips to Central and South America with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, a group that works with Rotary International and Lions Clubs to provide eye exams and glasses to those in need. |

Dr. April Gerhard |
Dr. Gerhard is a native of Pensacola, Florida. After graduating from Gulf Breeze High School, she graduated cum laude for her bachelor’s degree in microbiology and cell science from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She then continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, receiving her doctorate of optometry with honors distinction. She has participated in medical missions to Trinidad, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Peru in order to provide free eye care and glasses to the underprivileged.Dr. Gerhard is a member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and West Florida Optometric Association. She provides routine eye care as well as manages many other aspects of ocular health including injuries, infections, and macular degeneration. Dr. Gerhard has a special interest in dry eye and glaucoma. |

Dr. Charles Ed Porch joins Sight & Sun Eyeworks with over 25+ years of experience in the Pensacola area. He specializes in diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, vision therapy and learning problems, eye exams and contact lenses and frames. |
Robert Constantine, OTR/L, CBIS |
Robert is the full time Occupational Therapist on staff at Sight & Sun Eyeworks. He graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham with a B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy in 1997 and has specialized in traumatic brain injury (TBI) and Stroke rehabilitation for the last 9 years. He is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and frequent lecturer on Stroke and TBI at the University of South Alabama. He was recently published in Advance for Occupational Therapists on the subject of Stroke Rehabilitation and also on the topic of Dynamic System Theory and Stroke Rehabilitation. He has specialized training in low vision and many other areas of neurological rehabilitation. |
