We are pleased to announce our new Occupational Therapist, Lucy Lowe! Here is a short bio about our new team member:

Lucy graduated from Louisiana State University with a BS in Nutrition in 2005. She then received her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) in 2008. She is licensed in the state of Florida and is certified by the National Board of Occupational Therapy. She has received her certificate in low vision from UAB.

Lucy has experience in working in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic with adults and children. She was worked with various diagnoses including low vision, stroke, and brain injury. She helped to start a low vision program at her last area of work. She has recently joined the Sight & Sun Eyeworks family to provide low vision treatments. She enjoys working with clients in collaboration with their family to help promote a richer, more independent lifestyle with what vision they do have.

The “Put on your Pink Bra” Breast Cancer Walk will be held on Saturday, October 27th, 2012 at 8:00am. We will meet up before the walk and walk as a team to show our support!

Even if you cannot attend the event, please feel free to join the team and help raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness.
